Faux suede Tops

Tops are probably the most common type of shirt to grace the world of apparel. They are available in multiple shapes and sizes, and styles are available for both men and female. If you’re planning on shopping and haven’t yet been introduced to the top, strap yourself back in your seat and get ready for a wild ride. In this article, we’re showcasing the most common types of tops and how they can be used to spice up your wardrobe and put the fun back into dressing up!

By definition, a top is generally considered to be any article of clothing which covers at least the chest, but also provides cover for most of the upper human body between the neck and the waistline. The bottom of a top may be as short as mid-torso (known as a midriff top), or as long as mid-thigh. A man would usually pair a top with pants, and a woman can wear pants as well or a skirt. So basically anything is worn on the top half of the body and covers most of the upper torso is considered to be a top. This puts button-up shirts, T-shirts, tank tops, and most other articles of clothing in the “top” category.

A polo shirt, classic round neck T-shirt, V-neck or loose fit dress shirt are the most common types of tops for men. These types of clothing look good on their own so no extremely special attention needs to be taken as a man can easily wear any sort of top and come out with gentleman’s pizzazz. Always watch out for the color though – it should match the socks, shoes, and the color of the pants, and the tie (if applicable). For women, the most common ones are tunics, tanks, halters, and kaftans. These are used mostly during informal occasions, so feel free to throw one on during a shopping spree at the mall, vacation at the beach with family, or a stroll through the park.

Tops can be paired with jackets, sweaters, and cardigans, basically anything which can be thrown over to cover up the shoulders. For women, different styles of tops exist which may accentuate different parts of their body – belly, ribs, navel, etc. Choose one which is appropriate to our body shape and which will conform to the contours of your figure. All in all, explore and you’ll find yourself falling in love with tops – we know we did!
